The Cream Team

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! It goes without saying that I am a massive lover of anything cream. Ice cream, custard creams, cream blushes (we're talking Topshop here), yep I love cream. But it was only recently that I discovered cream eye shadows in both the stick and pot form. I'm usually quite lazy when it comes to eye shadow, so to find some products that apply with ease, last all day and never look 'too much', it's safe to say I'm just the slightest bit pleased!
First we begin with something of a cult beauty classic in the form of Maybelline's 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. This looks gorgeous blended all over the lid as a shimmery wash or as a base with other neutrals (I've been using the MUA Undressed palette) built on top to define the crease. I couldn't say if this lasted 24 hours but it certainly lasts all day without creasing or smudging and let's be honest who wants their eye shadow by their chin?* Not exaggerating- I've been there!*

If you haven't picked any of these up I don't know where you've been, but they retail for an impressive £4.99 from Boots- currently on 3 for 2.
Moving on to a recent purchase, Collection's Work the Colour Eye shadow pencil in Vanilla Sky. Collection don't advertise this as a cream eye shadow but the long wearing and velvety formula are not dissimilar to what you would expect of a cream shadow. As always I've opted for a neutral shade and I've been wearing this in the inner third of the eyelid to brighten the eye and bring a casual daytime look together.

These are only £3.19 from Boots (free nail polish when you spend £4 or more on Collection) and I'll definitely be picking up Hot Chocolate and Vintage Blush soon!
Last but not least we have Bad Girl Bronze from the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick range. This is probably my favourite out of the two crayon like shadows as I find these are easy to blend. The creamy formula means less tugging on eyelids (never a good thing) and more colour payoff. If there is one downside to both this and Collection's offering is that they both need to be sharpened rather than being twist up.

Available for £4.99 from Boots.
From top to bottom; On and on bronze, Vanilla Sky and Bad Girl Bronze.

What cream eye shadows have you been wearing lately?
