Review || Catrice Cosmetics Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Hold your horses Ladies and Gents but I think that I've finally got a blogging schedule! I'm planning on posting on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with the occasional post here and there. With lots of exams coming up I don't want to neglect my blog so I need to be organised and maybe plan in advance for once. Anyway, today's post is going to be a little review of the Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette* which I won in Molly's giveaway recently.
Unfortunately the eyeshadows don't have names so I've numbered them from 1 through to 6. I'd also like to point out that the accompanying brush is much better than I would expect but I still prefer Real Techniques!
Shade 1 works wonders as a highly pigmented, shimmery-but-not-sparkly, inner corner highlight or blended over the inner third of the lid. For an all over base colour, shade 2 works well, although I think it would have been better matte. Shade 3 is a deep warmed tone brown in the pan although doesn't transfer as well onto the skin.
An alternative all over the lid colour would be shade 4 which works well with shade 5 in the outer third.  For real eyeball eyelid definition shade 6 transfers really well and is easy to blend.

Overall for only €5 this really is a bargain palette and something I would recommend buying if you can get your hands on one!

Thanks Molly!

Not Crying on Sundays

Jumper-Topshop || Jeans-Topshop || Boots-Oasis || Coat-Primark || Brooch-Local Boutique

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! As autumn is officially upon us I thought I might as well do another outfit post in the midst of the fallen leaves. This is quite a simple and easy outfit, I love wearing this coat as it makes me feel all warm and snuggly. I've also gone for a dark lip in MUA's Shade 01 and nails in Essie's Luxedo*. During this time of year I feel winter boots are a must and work well with jeans.

Now if you don't mind me I'm off to have a hot chocolate! What have you been wearing this autumn?

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! I thought I would do a little post on what's currently in my travel makeup bag, and that I've generally been using on a daily basis. I find these posts really interesting to read as I love to see the products people are trying out, current favourites and little gems they love to use. I tend to keep the majority of my makeup in my dressing table drawers but get into a routine of using the same products, which I carry around to touch up on during the day. Lately I've been loving a more fresh, natural look although a bold lip in autumn is an essential. My makeup bag is also from Ted Baker and reminds me slightly of the Tardis as it's bigger on the inside, fitting lots of makeup.

Natural Collection Blushers

Rosey Glow, Peach Melba and Pink Cloud

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Today I thought I'd do a little post on some of my favourite blushers from Natural Collection. A brand where everything is £1.99 or less, while I wouldn't recommend buying your whole makeup stash from there, their lipsticks and blushers are definitely worth a look.

Rosey Glow is the more brown toned of the three whilst Peach Melba, as the name would suggest, is very peachy and quite a blogger favourite. Pink Cloud looks overly bright in the pan but transfers as a pretty pastel flush of colour. The pigmentation is great for the price and on me I find these last 5-6 hours.

Do you own anything from Natural Collection?

The Blogs I Love #2

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! About two months ago I wrote post entitled ' The Blogs I love' and following Sunday's #bbloggers chat I felt like doing another. There are so many amazing blogs that I've started following recently that I wanted to share with you. With fun lifestyle posts, creative recipes or well written beauty reviews, these are some of my favourite, must read blogs.
First up is one of my latest finds, Little Red. I'd seen Lauren in quite a few twitter chats so thought I would have a look to see what her blog was like. A mixture of pretty outfit, recipe and beauty posts I knew this was a blog I needed to be following. Recently I really enjoyed this and this post, I'd highly recommend you went and had a little read.
The next blog is actually one I discovered when I'd only just started blogging. The Mod Mermaid is written by Jess (who I swear is my long, lost, American sister) and is filled with all the beauty goodness from under the sea. Two of my favourite posts are this and this but there are so many other fantastic posts that I suggest you grab a cuppa and a spare hour or two to have a good old read.
I may be slightly bias on this blog seeing as it is written by my best friend but it's so great I really wanted to share it with you all. Oh To Be Fabulous was created in my room the other Sunday and since then has been immersed in lots of lifestyle and fashion posts. I will definitely have the privilege of saying I was the first follower in years to come and I would highly recommend you head on over there to have a read.
Last but by no means least is Colours And Carousels. First things first I think I'm in love with the blog design! Secondly Charlotte's writing style is wonderful and so engaging. And thirdly her OOTD, product reviews and little lifestyle posts are bloomin' amazing! My favourite posts are this, this and this!

Which are your favourite blogs?

Dainty Jewellery

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Whilst I am a huge fan of statement necklaces, lately I've been opting for more delicate, one off pieces. Most of the jewellery above are from local boutiques or family heritage. There is something far more special knowing you are wearing something that nobody else in the entire world owns. I particularly love the carousel earrings which are very unusual, I fell in love with them as soon as my eyes caught sight of them. I'm also quite found of birds in jewellery as I feel they add a delicate, wishful touch to an outfit. Whether you're wearing a pretty dress or a t-shirt and jeans, dainty jewellery will always pull a look together.

Which is your favourite type of jewellery?

Jumper-Topshop
Joni Jeans-Topshop
Shoes-Accessorize

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! It's been quite a while since my last outfit post so I thought it was about time that I did another one. At the moment I literally live in my Joni Jeans and have loved pairing them with oversized jumpers and statement necklaces. Today I opted for a couple of jewellery pieces and my cat shoes which I bought in the Accessorize sale last year. Perfect for playing in the garden with my little sister!

The Ultimate Concealer

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! In the past six months that I've been writing on this little blog I've barely talked about my favourite concealer. Its not often I would pin such a prestige title on a product, but for this concealer, I don't have to think twice. As you can see by the rubbed of packaging these are often used and can be found at the bottom of my handbag, coat pockets and have even been spotted in my pencil case. Presented with even the worst under eye circles, redness or blemish this superhero product will conceal it. And it won't budge.

For starters it only costs £4.19 so having multiple tubes lying around isn't going to set you back a fortune. I also quite like the packaging, how the stickers tell you which shade and when the name rubs off I think it looks fairly high end. It blends really easily and doesn't crease under the eyes or cake around blemishes. This product comes in four shades and I use Fair (Shade 1) in winter and Light (Shade 2) when the sun makes an appearance and my skin tone darkens slightly.

Out of all the concealers I've tried nothing quite beats this! Which is your ultimate concealer?

Beauty at the Bedside

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Today I thought I would do a quick post showing you my bedside table beauty products that I'm using at the moment. As you can probably see there is rather a lot of Soap and Glory but I am a fully confirmed addict for the stuff! My skin is quite dehydrated so I tend to use quite moisturising products along with anything that smells sweet or relaxing (if a scent can be relaxing that is).

This isn't the original S&G scent but a more tangy, Orange and Lemon Fruit Acid Smoothers inspired smell which is very refreshing. The moisturising benefits are pretty good, especially in the winter with some woolly socks on. Keeping it by my bed also reminds me to use it more often!

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate
I'm not that great when it comes to oils and serums but this gorgeous, rose scented bottle of wonder is something I'm pretty sure I couldn't live without. I use this after cleansing and toning twice a week to help balance out the oils in my skin. All the ingredients used are natural and this is definitely a product for before bed.

Clinique Repairwear Uplifting Moisturiser
(15ml sample size pictured)
I apply this after toning or using the Liz Earle Oil as at times my skin can be more sensitive and this is perfect. Although scentless, this does a great job at moisturising the skin- not sure it's worth the £52 pricetag though!

The Righteous Butter by Soap and Glory
I think everyone has owned a tub of this at least once in their life, the iconic packaging and smell is something not to be missed! During the Autumn/Winter months especially, my skin becomes very dry and I've found all the S&G body butters to be great at hydrating and leaving my skin soft.

A Great Kisser Lip Balm By Soap and Glory*
During the day my lips get very dry, particularly if I've been wearing a lipstick, so lip balm is a bedtime essential. Vanilla Bean smells amazing and is non-sticky helping to keep my lips hydrated!

What do you keep on your bedside table?

Upon Entering Boots...

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! Last week I popped away for a few days on a Drama and English trip with my friends. Whilst there was plenty of Shakespearian workshops and the sort we managed to fit in a fair few trips to Boots. I needed another Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but somehow five other products managed to slip into my basket! Don't you just hate it when that happens?
The first thing that caught my eye was the huge Buy one get one half price banner stringed above the entrance of the shop. This pretty much justifies all of my purchases, non? I saw that Real Techniques were part of the deal and rushed over to buy the blush brush which I had wanted for ages! They also had a huuuge Soap and Glory makeup stand filled with all the blushes, concealers, powders and lipsticks I could ever need. I eventually decided on the Glow All Out Luminizing face powder which acts as a great subtle highlight (see on) on the cheeks.

After seeing countless YouTubers talk about Rimmel Stay Matte and not being hugely impressed, I picked up 17 Miracle Matte Pressed Powder which Khila mentioned was rather good. Finally from Boots I bought one of the much hyped Bourjois Colour Boost's in an even more hyped about colour Peach on the Beach. Oh what a sheep I am.

Whilst having a quick chocolate buying dash around Poundland I spotted a Rimmel Wake Me Up Shimmer Touch in Radiant Rose. Quite a bargain if you ask me!

What makeup have you been purchasing lately? Have you taken advantage of the Boots offer?
