Summer Beauty Essentials

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! As the weather has been rather hot lately I thought I'd compile a selection of products I have been loving this summer and will continue to use throughout July and August.
During the summer heavy coverage is off the cards, let's be honest no-one wants their makeup to melt! Instead I've been using Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream. I have this in the shade light and blend it with the Real Techniques Expert Face brush. This stays put all day and has SPF 30, although I do wear La Roche Posay's Anthelios SPF 30 fluid underneath as well, which has UVA and UVB protection. Although a light coverage is all well and good, it doesn't mean I don't have the old spot or blemish that needs concealing. Cue Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer. I'm not going to go on about this because everyone and their dog has, but when my skin is oiler, this is the perfect stay put concealer. A light dusting of powder seals the deal!
Bumble and Bumble's Surf Spray* is also a must for me. Lately I've been getting a lot more into hair products and this adds some much needed texture and volume! I've also really enjoyed using Seascape's Island Apothecary Uplift Body wash*  which contains Eucalyptus, lime and lavender for a refreshing morning shower. Soap and Glory's Butter Yourself body butter is lovely and moisturising whilst maintaining a lovely fruity scent.
Moving onto lips and cheeks! If you're a regular reader of mine you'll know that they're two of my favourite makeup items! Topshop's Cream Blush in Head Over Heels is a blendable, highly pigmented, coral cream blush which I use the Real Techniques Stipling brush to apply. For a cream based product, this doesn't slip and slide with my oily skin and is perfect for the summer months! I also like to go bold on the lip front and YSL's Rouge Volupte Shine in Corail Incandescent is a hydrating red-y coral which looks perfect with a tan! When in need of a hint of colour Benefit's Cha Cha tint* does the trick. This is again a peach-y coral which looks pretty on the lips or cheeks!

Finally we move onto nails. This summer I'll be wearing Topshop's Flying Saucer Nail Polish, which is a gorgeous pastel purple!

Those are my summer essentials, what are yours?

Hope you have a lovely sunny weekend!
