May's mascaras of the moment!

I thought I would do a blog post on these mascaras because a) they're inexpensive and b) they're actually quite good.

To begin, the mascara pretty much everyone has owned at least once in their life, Maybelline's Great lash. Except this time they've made the colour darker. Personally, I don't like the look of really clumpy lashes and for everyday makeup  this one ticks the box.

If you saw last month's favourites you will recognise the next mascara, Topshop's false lash. Not only do I love the packaging of this mascara but the formula along with the brush equals perfection.

Lash but not least (sorry, I couldn't resist) we have Collection's Longer Lash mascara. This mascara has served its time well and is nearly at the end of its days. But while it's still in use I have been making the most of it. Again this mascara is not going to set you back many pennies and does a great job at adding some much needed length to my lashes.

NOTD #1 || Pillar Box by Topshop

On the nails

Polka dot heaven

As a huge fun of the Topshop makeup range (if you hadn't already guessed from past blog posts), I decided to try out some of the nail polishes. Believe it or not, until about a month ago I did not own any. It was only today that I put it on after weeks of  it sitting screaming to be used. My verdict...amazing. I couldn't believe that in as little as two coats a glossy opaque finish could be formed. The price, at only £5, and quality only add up to the fantastic-ness of this product.

You have to try these polishes (in particular Pillar box) or you are seriously missing out!

Book review || Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale

So today's post is going to be a little different from normal. Over the past few weeks I have been reading a book that is so good I thought I better share it with you. Someone Else's Life is a story following seventeen year old Rosie Kenning's journey into adulthood. When her mother dies of Huntington's disease not only is she filled with grief but presented with the fear that she could have inherited it herself. She is then presented with news that leaves her wondering who she is and whether to continue living a lie or to shatter the lives of everyone around her. I don't want to ruin the book for you, so no spoilers this time, but I highly recommend you give this book a go. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Which books have you been loving this month?

Whilst having a break from revision I rediscovered tumblr. I have had an account for a while but never actually spent time on the site. Here are some of my favourite pics!

Review || MUA Cover & Conceal Wand

During MUA's recent 3 for 2 I decided to pick up this concealer which I got in the shade Natural. Whilst perfect for my skin tone, there are only three colours available, a downside for extremely light or dark toned skin. However within the first use I became completely and utterly in love! The formula is very hydrating, not too cakey for under the eye and enough coverage for any blemishes or imperfections. At only £1.50, it's a must buy!

Which inexpensive concealers have you been loving at the moment?

Topshop makeup review || Blush in Head Over Heels

Head Over Heels

Does anyone else keep the makeup packaging?

I have decided to venture out into the world of cream blushes. Now, these super pigmented blushes from Topshop's makeup collection have been highly raved about, so I thought I would add my review to the ever growing pile. The colour I went for was 'Head Over Heels' which is a peachy pink tone that I would recommend to paler faced people. Topshop has nailed the formulation down to a capital T. It has a  cream to powder finish ,which is easy to apply, and stays put all day (Seriously it doesn't budge).

Have you tried out any of the other colours? Which one is your favourite?
