Would You Rather? || The Company Edition

In August's edition of Company they had a little section of  'beauty banter' in which there were a few would you rather... questions. I thought this would be super fun to do as a blog post and make a difference from the beauty edition I've seen floating around. Be prepared, there are some rather odd questions!

Would you rather have hair that smells of seaweed OR skin that feels like sand?
Well I'm thinking hair that smells of seaweed because if you had sand like skin it would be really itchy and make it hard to wear clothes. Whereas if your hair smelt like seaweed people maybe a bit put of but at least it wouldn't irritate you all the time! Seaweed doesn't smell too bad...

Would you rather wear fake tan five shades too dark OR five shades too light?
I think for me it would be five shades too light because I really hate the TOWIE look and I'm not big on fake tan anyway!

Would you rather have a permanent mono-brow OR a perma-moustache?
Oh God- both would be so embarrassing! Eyebrows are such a central part to the face but maybe if you channelled Cara Delevigne you could work a mono-brow? I really don't want a permanent moustache!

Would you rather not wash your hair for a month OR not wear deodorant for a month?
I hate the look of greasy hair but no-one wants to smell! Just because you can't wear deodorant doesn't mean you can't wear body spray and just because you can't wash your hair doesn't mean you can't use dry shampoo. I've kind of worked my way round this one but I think I'd not wear deodorant because I've only used dry shampoo on day old hair and something tells me it wouldn't work so well after four weeks...

Would you rather get a really bad haircut OR get a really bad colour?
Hmmm, in our family hair doesn't grow particularly quickly so it would take ages for the cut to grow out but I could sort of disguise it with a pony tail or bun. I've never died my hair but if it went streaky ginger it wouldn't be a good look! I'm going to have to say haircut!

Would you rather wear vomit scented perfume OR an amazing smelling perfume that only attracts seagulls?
Whenever I smell vomit I wretch so maybe that wouldn't be the best idea. But then seagull attraction has never been on my to do list! Probably the second one because at least you'd smell nice!

Feel free to do this post and send me a link if you do!

A Big Huge Ginormous Thank you

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! About three weeks ago Sophie from SophieLouiseW contacted me to let me know that I had won her 100 follower giveaway! The next day a little package filled with all sorts of goodies (and a few extra bits and bobs) arrived and I just thought I'd take this chance to say thank you again! As part of my disclaimer, any of these products mentioned in other posts will be clearly marked with an asterix (*). You can read my full disclaimer HERE.

Oh I do like to be Beside the Seaside

Although some of the pictures below are edited, this one wasn't. The sea and sky really were that blue!

The following pictures are of inside the off-white beach hut above!

And of course no beach trip would be fulfilled without Company magazine!

Yesterday we (the family) decided to make an impromptu trip down to the beach! The weather was perfect, not 'I actually need a sun hat' hot or 'where's my coat' cold but somewhere in the middle. We forget to buy ice creams so I managed to fish some Magnums out of the freezer when we got home! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I'll be back with a beauty post tomorrow!

The Cream Team

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! It goes without saying that I am a massive lover of anything cream. Ice cream, custard creams, cream blushes (we're talking Topshop here), yep I love cream. But it was only recently that I discovered cream eye shadows in both the stick and pot form. I'm usually quite lazy when it comes to eye shadow, so to find some products that apply with ease, last all day and never look 'too much', it's safe to say I'm just the slightest bit pleased!
First we begin with something of a cult beauty classic in the form of Maybelline's 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. This looks gorgeous blended all over the lid as a shimmery wash or as a base with other neutrals (I've been using the MUA Undressed palette) built on top to define the crease. I couldn't say if this lasted 24 hours but it certainly lasts all day without creasing or smudging and let's be honest who wants their eye shadow by their chin?* Not exaggerating- I've been there!*

If you haven't picked any of these up I don't know where you've been, but they retail for an impressive £4.99 from Boots- currently on 3 for 2.
Moving on to a recent purchase, Collection's Work the Colour Eye shadow pencil in Vanilla Sky. Collection don't advertise this as a cream eye shadow but the long wearing and velvety formula are not dissimilar to what you would expect of a cream shadow. As always I've opted for a neutral shade and I've been wearing this in the inner third of the eyelid to brighten the eye and bring a casual daytime look together.

These are only £3.19 from Boots (free nail polish when you spend £4 or more on Collection) and I'll definitely be picking up Hot Chocolate and Vintage Blush soon!
Last but not least we have Bad Girl Bronze from the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Stick range. This is probably my favourite out of the two crayon like shadows as I find these are easy to blend. The creamy formula means less tugging on eyelids (never a good thing) and more colour payoff. If there is one downside to both this and Collection's offering is that they both need to be sharpened rather than being twist up.

Available for £4.99 from Boots.
From top to bottom; On and on bronze, Vanilla Sky and Bad Girl Bronze.

What cream eye shadows have you been wearing lately?

NOTD #10 || Orange Your Life by Rimmel

Hello everyone, hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend! Today I thought I would talk to you about a nail polish I can only describe as a neon, 'can't stop looking at me' wonder. Rather cheesy name aside, this polish is one I have rediscovered this summer and really been loving. You may (or most probably may not) remember a post I did a few weeks ago featuring a peachy colour from the same range which lasted a whopping seven days chip-free! However this shade, although I prefer the colour, chipped and flaked within the first two days and was more gloopy to apply. This doesn't overly concern me as it takes very little time to dry, so top ups were easy!

Have you tried anything from this range?

Liebster Award #3

Hello everyone, hope you're all well! I've been very fortunate to be nominated for the Liebster Award for the third time! The beautiful Stef from Scottish Stef's nails nominated me and you can see her post HERE. If i'm ever in need of some nail art inspiration i'm over at Stef's blog and i'd definitely recommend that you go and give her a follow!

Rules:
  1. Answer the 10 questions which your lovely  nominator has given you!
  2. Nominate 10 bloggers who have under 200 followers and link them in your post (I went via Bloglovin').
  3. Come up with 10 more cool and crazy questions for your nominees to answer!
  4. Inform your lovely nominees so they can do their responses!

Here are my answers:

Would you like to make YouTube videos?
I would actually really like to make them, and I have tried in the past, but my camera takes such bad quality videos (and pictures for that matter) that they wouldn't be worth watching!

Would you rather be chased by a horse sized duck or ten duck sized horses?
Probably ten duck sized horses because they'd just be like small dogs. A horse sized duck would be so scary!

What is your favourite nail polish?
I can probably whittle it down to my top two! I love Essie's Smokin' Hot which is a gorgeous charcoal colour and Topsop's Flying Saucer which reminds me of Parma Violets.

Why did you decide to start a blog?
I can't really pinpoint exactly why I started a blog but I was inspired by a lot of other bloggers such as Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, Couture Girl, Vivianna Does Makeup, Tanya Burr... need I go on! I loved the idea of having a little space of the internet where I could talk about anything I wanted! I never thought people would actually read my blog, I didn't even have put any gadgets on my blog so that people could follow until I had been writing it for a month!

What are your favourite TV programmes?
Since discovering YouTube I barely watch any television, but my favourite is definitely Sherlock!

Do you ever take part in the #bbloggers chats?
I try to on a Sunday and I love finding new blogs and just chatting to people who love makeup!

Which piece of technology do you use to write your blog?
I use my laptop!

Which three fashion stores do you shop at the most?
Well definitely Topshop! I'm not a big fan of shopping online but I do love ASOS Marketplace, particularly the We Are Hairy People boutique! I always see great Primark Hauls on YouTube but I never seem to much and I love Zara but it's quite expensive!

iPhone or Blackberry?
I own neither but I think an iPhone would be better, I'm not very good at typing so a Blackberry wouldn't be for me!

What are your favourite items of clothing at the moment?
I hope to do some outfit posts next week but I've been loving a midi skirt from Topshop that has a beach-y scenic print. I'm not explaining it very well am I? Oh, well!

My lovely nominees are:

Eleanor at Dream. Love. Live. Fashion
Beca at Those Moments of Serendipity
Sophie at Sophie Louise W
Jordan at Little Lace Bows
Ali at Alleyhope
Maddie at All the pretty things
Jess at Hello Sunshine
Katy at Giggles and Makeup
Charlotte and Tori at Flowers in the Watering Can
Rosie at Rosie Bea

My questions for you are:

Why did you start a blog?
Which is your favourite clothes shop?
Which is your favourite makeup brand?
Who was your first follower?
What is your favourite food?
How do you overcome bloggers block?
Who is your favourite YouTuber?
Would you like to make YouTube videos?
Which post on your blog are you most proud of?
Do you participate in #bbloggers chats?
