Thought Thursday #5

Shall today be a makeup day or a no makeup day? Nine out of ten times the answers going to be yes. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the way I look, but a more even, radiant skin tone is always going to be more appealing than my morning face. It was only recently (we're talking less than a year here) that applying a bit of foundation here and a spot of blush (usually cream) there became a usual habit. And all of a sudden I've got a blog were I talk about my love for it! You would of thought seeing girls with orange faces and three pairs of false lashes smothered with coats of clumpy mascara followed by enough bronzer to stain literally everything would of put me off makeup for life but creating a natural face is more of the look I go for. So yes, makeup does make me feel more confident and yes I do wear it on a regular basis, but hey what's wrong with that? Just someone please tell me if my face is orange...

Thought Thursday #3

People resist change. It is a matter of fact statement. Change can take people out of their comfort zone until they feel they may have lost control. A big change that will happen in a few years for me will be moving from school to university. Away from home to somewhere else, where I may not know anybody. It's a change that I'm excited and nervous for. A step to growing up. Many things change in life, sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. But just appreciate change because if we all stayed the same for eighty years, life would be pretty boring.

Thought Thursday #2

weheartit.com

Another week, another Thought Thursday post. Well, I've only done two so far but that sounded like a good intro. This quote by Albert Einstein struck a cord with me somehow. In our lives we need balance. Lean to far to one side and you'll fall (and probably graze your knee). And if you do, get back up again and keep cycling. The more you try and practice, the easier it becomes.

When I learnt to ride a bike was seven. Most of my other friends new what they were doing on bicycle terms, but me, I wasn't going anywhere without stabilizers. I was cycling round the garden with my dad holding the back of my seat, 'Don't let go!' I had said. Too late, he already had. And I could do it. I could cycle. The part of the story I haven't mentioned yet are the many times before that were I couldn't balance and fell. But hey, you're not going to get anywhere in life if you don't persevere.

Thought Thursday #1

Quotesandimages.com
Today I was thinking about what sort of post I should do. Within that thought process came Thought Thursday. Woohoo!  I thought, Thursday blog posts practically planned out for the next few months.

So, why did I choose this image? 1) It made me laugh and 2) well it basically sums up how I'm feeling right now.  I've spent many an hour looking at a blank wall thinking 'If I weren't so lazy I could...' In fact this picture is starting to bare a striking resemblance to me, well, except for the fringe. Anyway, when I started to think about this I wondered if there was some kind of scientific, psychological reason (you know the ones). And guess what, you can blame it on your parents because researchers found that lack of motivation is genetically inherited. I'd like to bring that one up in an argument...
